Cacique Restaurant is a casual Cuban diner, proudly serving authentic Latin American & Caribbean cuisine in Downtown Miami since 1986. Over the years, Cacique Restaurant has established itself as a staple in Miami's dining scene, drawing both locals and tourists who seek authentic home-style cooking.
The restaurant's name, "Cacique," (pronounced kah-SEE-kay) is derived from a term used in various indigenous Latin American cultures to refer to a local leader or chief, highlighting its connection to Latin heritage and tradition. As one of the few family-owned restaurants remaining in the area, Cacique takes pride in paying special attention to customer service and making delicious food in a fast-paced world.
For this well established business, the goal was a full rebrand that paid homage to it’s heritage — drawing inspiration from vintage 50’s Cuban culture, Native American motifs, and the vibrant Miami landscape. The result is an elevated brand fitting for the Miami restaurant scene, that retains close ties to its roots.
The logo for Cacique Restaurant perfectly embodies the energy and story of the brand — combining a textured, rounded, sans-serif typeface with a vintage script and typewriter details to evoke a sense of tropical authenticity and rich heritage. Rounded edges convey warmth and friendliness, inviting customers into a welcoming and inclusive dining experience.
